My husband has a 17u baseball team. There are 3 parents who have sons on the team as well as 3 overly flirtatious, scantily dressed teenage daughters. 2 of them dated 2 of the team players causing the brothers extreme grief. The talk in the dugout was often inappropriate and the brothers would have a hard time focusing to their job. those relationships didn't last and the girls are moving on to new players. As an objective observer, I have seen it affect the team's performance. I have noted that when the girls aren't there we win, when there, we don't. The coach and other parents have seen it as well, but feel its none of our business. We have been to many tournaments both local and out of state. I rarely, maybe once or twice, have seen girls hanging around the dugout and/or "fraternizing" with the team in between games. I am seen as a prude. Are there any resources that might defend my argument?
Comments for parents allowing teenage daughters to date and hang around dugout.
